I'm Back!!!

Shame on me! It's been over a year since I have posted on this blog. I'll do my best to update as often as I used to.
I cannot believe where time has gone. Mia is now 4 years old. She is officially registered for preschool. I'm glad that it will not be full-time. I need it to be a transition for her as much as for me or should I say, I need it for me, because she's ready! :-) It is a coop school, so I will be very much involved. It will be a great transition for both of us.
My little girl is now starting to read, and can now count to 100! She is learning to ride her bike and also taking violin lessons and continuing on with gymnastics.
She keeps us on our toes and brings so much joy to our lives! Our gift from God indeed! ;-)

Friends, Minnie and Mickey

Yesterday, Mia attended her friend Madeline's birthday party. During the party, Madeline had a special visit by no other than Mickey and Minnie. The party started with Mickey and Minnie coming in to the song "Let's get this party started". (I think that's the title anyway). The first one to jump in the "dance wagon" of course was our Mia! She's just like her mother. ;-) Anyway, here a a couple of pictures of Mia's time with her friends.

Cooking 101

As many of you already know, Mia loves to help in the kitchen. She is always asking me to make something with her apron on. Every week, we are coming up with something new to make. This week been Thanksgiving, she helped with the pumpking pies and cranberry conserve. I have a feeling by the time she turns 8 she'll be fixing us meals! Enjoy a couple of pictures of our chef. I'm trying to post a little video clip of her working on the pumpking pie but its not working out right now. I'll try again.

Art 101

Not to brag or anything, but my daughter is only 2 1/2 yrs old and is quite the artist for her age! She colors within the lines, can draw straight lines and now the latest, she can draw a happy face. Check out her most recent art work!!

Out of the house for some Fall Fest Fun

We spent most of this week, couped inside the house fighting the flu. We read books, played games, painted our toe nails, did crafts, carved a pumpkin, baked cookies, and watched a lot of Curious George. :-) By the time Saturday came along, we were ready for a change of pace. Our church had a Fall Fest planned and no weather forecast was stopping us from attending! As a matter of fact, Mia was the first kid there!!! LOL She had so much fun that whe went to bed at 5:30pm for the night!!!! :/
Life is so much sweeter with our precious Mia!

Enjoying Fall

Boy, I'm not so good at keeping up with this blog! Fall is officially here. At least my husband is happy about that! ;-) Mia loves been outdoors, picking up fallen tree leaves, sitting by the campfire with papi, playing on the swing as I sing to her every song that I can remember! :-/ Dave has been very busy working a lot, so, it is very rare that we go out as a family other than the usual routines, Target, church and grocery store. But don't worry, we do spend time together. Anyway, today we went to a local Fall Fair with a petting zoo and hay ride. We had a wonderful time as a family and Mia had the best "daddy and me" time. Here are pictures of our family day. (I'm the one behind the camera ;-) just in case you're wondering where I am.)

Until Next time!
